Improved Disk Access Logic + Full Disk Fallback
In our last update, we moved to scoped permissions, but a few users encountered issues.
We've now updated our disk access logic to run a validation when Faktor starts. If we can't access your Library folder, you'll see an option to grant full disk access from the permissions screen—just click "Grant Full Disk Access."
Support for Arc, Brave and Edge
We heard from many of you that you're not using Google Chrome. Good news! We've expanded our browser support to include Arc, Brave, and Edge. During onboarding, Faktor will now detect if its browser extension is installed in any of these browsers.
Logs view under settings
To make debugging easier, we've added a logs view under Settings. Now you can see the logs directly when something doesn't go as expected.
Showing connected browsers in the menu bar
We now display which browsers are connected to Faktor right in the menu bar. This helps you quickly check if your browser is connected. Every time you open a new tab, we'll attempt to connect it to Faktor.

App Sandbox and fewer permissions
Faktor now requires fewer permissions! Thanks to scoped permissions, we no longer need full disk access. We've also enabled the app sandbox for full isolation on your Mac—great news for those who had privacy concerns. Problem solved! 💪

Faktor now has a classic macOS settings screen, making it super easy to configure things just the way you like!
Recent codes now triggers autocompletion UI
Need a recent code? Use the menu bar icon to grab the most recent ones. Click to copy it to your clipboard and trigger the autocomplete UI in your browser—super handy if you missed a code!
